Hanga Abbey Monks Get Additional Sleeping Rooms

For many years the monks of Hanga Abbey have been struggling with having decent accommodation. With more than 120 members it has been really a challenge for the abbey. Not a few of the monks had to have their work places and offices turned into sleeping rooms. Finally now the monks have additional building with rooms as dormitories. On January 15th, 2011, the new building with 50 rooms was inaugurated with the blessing of the archbishop of the archidiocese of Songea Very Reverend Nortbet Mtega. Our prayers go to the benefactors and the monks of Benedictine Mission House in Schuyler, Nebraska (USA) for fundraising to have this structure become a reality.
