Clean water for Zomba village in Songea

In August at a small village in southern Tanzania, in the rural district of Songea in Ruvuma region had luck of getting clean water system. A well was drilled and a solar pump installed. A tower to hold 20,000 liters of water was also erected and two tanks on it. From the tanks distribution pipes now go to streets. Several standing pipes are erected for the people to fetch water. thanks to the benefactors from USA.

It is a joy to have safe drinking water for these villagers, although it is only one fourth of the total population of the village that have access to this service. For the whole village there is a need of three more similar systems to be established to meet the needs. We hope someday to have funding to accomplish the mission.

At Hanga Health Center

As of January 2026, Hanga Health Center is a busy as ever. Thanks to the recent improvements of the services of surgeries, the clinical laboratory and X-ray machine. In particular, expectant mothers are very well served. With a nice kitchen and laundry place they are able to stay at the Center a few days before delivery. And if complications develop for the delivery surgery is easily performed. Since the Health Center is conveniently located in rural areas it is serving many poor villages. We are glad that people in these remote areas have medical services close to them.
